Another busy week has passed.
One thing I have deeply realised this week is finding the right balance to do all my work while attending meetings. Moving around for meetings takes up a lot of time of the day so it is important for me to find that balance.
Also managed to get a deal done that I am excited to show in the coming weeks, more to come.
Took some photos from Bukchon Hanok Village which is basically Seoul’s few existing old towns as I had a meeting near there. I love coming around this area, although I do not get the chance to come very often; it is still breathing from the past. A lot of European countries have done a great job at maintaining their traditional architecture and still utlise those architecture in daily lives. That is unfortunately not the case for Korea. Due to the invasion + Korean war, a lot of traditional architecture has been destroyed. Also partly due to Korea’s steep economical rise, old buildings have been reconstructed with buildings and skyscrapers. Not only Korea but a lot of modern architecture is choosing convenience over aesthetics. I’m no architect, nor do I have any qualification to say such things, but just stating my opinion. Our old architecture really defines the art of 'Building’. The uglier, taller buildings are being built, the more beautiful and valuable these places are becoming.
Books have been a vital part of my life for the last 2 years or so, ranging from eastern western philosophy, business, psychology etc. Now, I am trying to get more into magazines and photography based books. Taking pictures has become a massive part of my life so I hope it will help me learn about different perspectives of photo taking. It never hit me that magazines and photography books can help me with my blog postings and photography; well, better late than never. Overall, I'm trying to have deeper understanding in many different fields, not only just watches.
Watch I wore the most this week was an easy one; it’s the 3330 Breguet. I am absolutely loving every moment wearing this guy. Changed the strap to this nice suede strap from Mr.Shim’s Nostime strap. If you're ever in Seoul and want to see some vintage watches or looking for high quality leather strap, have a visit at Nostime. You will not regret your decision.
Another productive week. Set small goals, knocked them off. Time to set more.
