Another week, another pics. Since last year, I started this little Asia tour every summer and winter to experience new market, connect with collectors and friends around Asia. As I have mentioned before, me being Asian but not having much connection to Asia due to my background of growing up in Europe, I really try to spend more time around my home continent to connect and learn more. I strongly believe there will be a shift in trend where more and more Europeans will move to Asia due to various reasons whether its economical benefits, security, or growing market in their field. Do I see myself basing in Asia as well? 100 percent. As much as I feel home in Switzerland/Europe, this part of the world is getting more familiar, and I potentially see bigger benefits of me living in Asia. But that’s a topic for another day.
Singapore. What a country. Since their independence in 1965, their growth of becoming the way they have developed, it is seriously impressive. Massive respect to this country. Also, I love the diversity in culture that the country provides, somewhat reminds me to Switzerland. Singapore probably is the Switzerland of Asia. Anyways, it was a great couple of days meeting with fellow collectors and friends. Hope to see you all again in summer time again.

Hong Kong doesn’t need much explanation when it comes to watches. The country is literally flooded with watches; doing my best to resist the temptation to buy watches, although it never works out as planned.

A little extracurricular activity in HK with my guy Karl from Timetells

Been wearing this 6263 Big Red again after a while. Wore this 6263 often last summer, and since I’m back in summerish weather with humidity, I thought the oyster case with screwdown would be fitting to be on my wrist. From case to dial proportions, it’s perfect. This is THE Daytona, not those ugly, blingy modern Daytonas. 37mm > 40mm anyday.
Time to head back to my other home in Zurich. Leaving Korea is always tough; saying goodbye to my family and friends, I always do leave with a little bit of a heavy heart. Hope to come back again in summertime. Until then, this journey shall continue. A lot to look forward to. Set small goals, knocked them off, time to set more.
