Patek Philippe Chronograph ref.591 "Pink on Pink"

CHF 0.10

The Patek Philippe Chronograph Ref. 591 in pink gold is one of the most elusive and historically significant vintage chronographs ever produced by the Geneva maison. Launched around 1938 and made through the 1940s, the Ref. 591 features a manually wound chronograph movement housed in a slender, elegantly proportioned 34 mm 18 K pink gold case with distinctive “bean-shaped” fagiolino lugs and classic button pushers. Its dial often includes a tachymeter or pulsation scale, sometimes in rare monochrome pink tones.

Production numbers for Ref. 591 are exceptionally low compared with almost any other Patek chronograph: most authorities estimate that roughly 100 examples were made in total, with around 60 in pink gold (and roughly 40 in yellow gold), though exact figures vary among sources. Because of this tiny series, coupled with the model’s unique design and early historical place in Patek’s chronograph lineage, pink gold examples are especially prized by collectors
