The Gübelin Ipso-Matic "Cioccolatone" is a rare bread that was produced in the 1950s by the well known Lucerne-based jeweler Gübelin. This being"Cioccolatone" shaped case with its squared, curved shaped case, what sets this piece apart from different brands is the beautifully shaped lugs, and combine that with beautiful diamond dial, this is Gübelin's fancy dress watch from the 50s. Inside the watch is an automatic Felsa 693 Bidynator movement which is known as one of the first automatic movements to wind in both directions. 32mm in diameter fits bigger than the diameter due to its squared shape, and it fits more like a 38mm diameter round cased watches. Unique shape, beautiful lugs, perfect case condition all adds to the charm of this vintage Gübelin ipsomatic.
