Langematik Perpetual was Lange's answer to competitor's grand complication, as this is Lange's first Perpetual Calendar, launched in 2001. Also, this is the first perpetual calendar that features a "Big Date", which is not a common sight for perpetual calendars. This specific Lange is a slightly updated version from the original Langematik, with slight improvement on the movement. Case made in platinum, this is a big boy piece as the heft of the platinum of definitely noticeable on the wrist.
