The 5059 can be categorised as one of the most unique perpetual calendars from Patek Philippe in the 90s. Officer case, center seconds, hinged caseback where you can see the beautifully crafted caliber 315/236, it is unique to its own. The watch comes in at 36mm which is just the right size for a 90's watch, and the thickness is around 12.9mm which is on a thicker side compared to the likes of 3940, 5040 or the 5039, however it has a right amount of presence on the wrist. The 5059 can often be overlooked by the likes of other great perpetual calendars from the same era, but it is worth noting that this 5059 as well as the 5050 is the first center seconds perpetual calendar that Patek has developed since the release of 2497/2438 in the 50s. The watches does not come with additional accessories from Patek, but it will be delivered with a handmade travel pouch from Gobugi as well as an additional leather strap made by us.
