Good to be back in Switzerland. There is a certain level of comfort whenever I’m here. Trying to settle in and make myself at home again. Yes I am very much used to life in Switzerland, but being in Korea and the army for the last 2 years or so is giving me a bit of a gap to fill.
Unfortunately I did not manage to do a lot of watch related work but managed to take some pics with the watch I wore this week; the Breguet 3657 Classique. What a watch to take photos with, and what a watch overall. Different guilloché patterns, the tourbillon, retrograde 24 indicator, the hand carved movement, it is truly a work of art.
One thing I realised this week to not force anything, and let things go by. As mentioned above, I couldn’t get a lot of watch related work. I’m not making moving to Switzerland as an excuse, and I just wasn’t on it. But I don’t think that is a bad thing. It happens. I believe what’s more important is the realisation and getting back on track quickly. Before I was very hard on myself when things did not go exactly as planned but I am slowly learning to be ok with not being in control of everything. If I do not have control, there’s no need to worry; it just wasn’t my boat to be on.
Took some pictures of accessories that will be up on the website in coming weeks. Very happy with the end product.
Other than that, had a day off to spend some time with my family in Bürgenstock. I’m cherishing these moments more than ever since I am getting older and busier, so does my family. These times are not coming back again and I’m just trying to soak it all in now. Appreciative of this time.
Another good week. Set small goals, knocked them off. Time to set more now.
