Back on the road, this time in Dubai for the watch week. I personally had some stigma for Dubai, and it never appealed to me, but after spending some time, I understand why people want to move and live here. Still not my cup of tea but it’s a cool place I have to admit.
Saw a lot of cool watches in and out of Dubai watch week. Me being a vintage lover, being completely honest, had zero expectations, but again, exceeded my expectations. The new czapek, I am digging it a bit. Also the ultralight 20g Behrens, if that thing had 10 bar + water resistance, I would get it to wear for summer holidays and when playing sports.

But being more of a vintage lover, I absolutely loved how every collectors’ thought process was for Dubai: Pimp the shxt out. I am guilty of it too, as I was rocking the white gold nautilus ref.3800/4 the entire week. I have never seen this many diamond/gem set pieces in one place. The watch scenes, people’s energy this week was at an all time high; thoroughly enjoyed it. Big congrats to Amsterdam Vintage Watches and Collectors Gallery for organising one the nicest dinner out in the desert; hats off for the organisation and idea.

Another busy, sleepless week off the book. Got a few more things planned before closing the year, excited for what’s coming ahead. Set small goals, knocked them off, time to set more.
