Through the Lens #25 Geneva Auction

Through the Lens #25 Geneva Auction

Another November means another chaos in Geneva. November auction season has arrived; this one being extremely anticipated due to the significance of the sale: 1518 stainless steel. Well, if you're reading this, it's sold now, and we probably won't see another one being sold for a very, very long time. But forget about 1518 steel since I'll never own one, but there was a particular 2499 4th series that I genuinely got goosebumps after checking it out. A man can dream. One day.

Weekends like this is great to see the like minded watch addicts in one place; a proof that this addiction is universally contagious. Seeing some old faces, as well as some new people that I haven't had the pleasure of meeting before, it's always great to connect.

Also managed to snag this golden nugget as well: 4360 Cellini on mother of pearl breguet numeral dial.

Saw some really strong results in the auction: people clearly are happy to empty their pockets for nice pieces. There are plenty of sick people around to keep the market strong.

Always happy to be back in Geneva, as it is a place I called home for brief period of time. Have a lot of great memories in this little city, had a little run around my old neighbourhood as well to get some flashbacks.

Another strong week, set small goals, knocked them off, time to set more.
