Another great week off the books. Met up with Minhoon Yoo, as well as Mr.Shim from Nostime vintage watches. 2 great individuals who I learn from their perspectives and years of experience in this field. One thing I am trying a little more is to build a bigger watch community in Korea as this is where I am from, and this country needs more people who love watches rather than assets or anything financial. I try to do my best to provide different perspectives on watches and knowledge during the short period of time I am here.
One sad truth about summer is that, as much as I love vintage dress watches, this heat and humidity doesn’t allow me to wear all those beauties. Currently, I am on a rotation of 3 watches: the 6263 big red, my military issued 124270 explorer, and the bombay lugs in 14K yellow gold on a mesh bracelet that I purchased separately. All Rolexes, and this just proves that oyster cased Rolexes are literally all weather proof. So versatile. I am hoping that there will be a few new additions in this summer rotation in coming weeks.
Got a lot of travels planned around Asia in the next coming weeks, all watch related. Looking forward to the adventure. I have to shamefully admit that as an Asian, I am so ignorant of Asia, so I am hoping this next couple of weeks will allow me to educate myself more about my own continent.
Another eventful week off the book, set small goals, knocked them off, time to set more.
